Victoria ISD Urges Parents/Guardians to Complete Income Survey for Continued Title One Funding

The Victoria Independent School District is calling upon all parents and guardians within the district to participate in the crucial Income Survey to ensure continued eligibility for Title One funding.

This funding plays a pivotal role in supporting various educational initiatives, providing resources, and enhancing opportunities for our students. By participating in the survey, families can contribute to the continued growth and success of our schools.

Title One funding has been instrumental in bolstering the district's budget, which in turn directly benefits our students and the entire school community. The funds have allowed us to provide essential services and programs that enhance the overall educational experience for our children.

Here are some of the key benefits of Title One funding:

  • Provision of Free Nutritionally Balanced Meals: Title One funding enables us to offer free breakfast and lunch to students, ensuring they have access to nutritious and balanced food options daily. This significantly contributes to their overall health and academic success.

  • Additional Funding for Technology Access and Infrastructure: With Title One funding, we can invest in technology resources and infrastructure, allowing students to access modern tools that foster digital literacy and 21st-century skills.

  • Discounts for College Application Processes: Title One funding allows us to offer discounts and waivers for college application fees, reducing financial barriers for students pursuing higher education opportunities.

  • Local Scholarships: The funds received from Title One contribute to the availability of local scholarships, providing financial assistance to deserving students as they pursue their academic and career goals.

  • Discounts for College Assessment Testing: Title One funding supports discounts for college assessment tests, making it more affordable for students to take standardized tests necessary for college admissions.

By participating in the Income Survey, parents and guardians can help our district maintain its eligibility for Title One funding and continue these essential benefits for our students. Every response counts and directly impacts our ability to receive the support required to offer the best education to our children.

We urge all parents and guardians to complete the Income Survey by Friday, September 29, 2023, to ensure that Victoria ISD continues to receive the funding needed to enrich the educational journey of our students.
